The action of deserting has always been very present in my imaginary; by personal circumstances someone stops believing in something he believed, and, in his career to freedom, makes of this flight his leitmotiv. This capacity of re-invention, of relinquish of something that´s no more of him, it fascinates me, as also the act of rebellion that means to reject something that belonged to him in the past.

 

The title of the song composed by Boris Vian, Le déserteur, has been used for giving a name to the performance. THE DESERTER connect us with the energy of change, of mutation, as also with death and life.
